HOW TO GET THOSE CRISP WHITE CLEAN FLATLAYS YOU ENVY - WITH JUST YOUR PHONE

So many times I post to Instagram or my facebook page on the fly and I'm without my laptop or computer. We live in an age where you can get amazing photos straight from our phones and we are spoilt for choice and quality.

I've put together this short tutorial on how I edit a flatlay (or any product photo really) from my smartphone using Snapseed, a free app with a very simple interface. (get Snapseed on iTunes / get Snapseed on Google Play)

As a #mompreneur, sometimes we get interrupted by small children, so please enjoy a quiet laugh to yourself when you hear my barely 3 year old son come into my studio and interrupt. It's sure to brighten your day.

TO RECAP WHAT I WENT OVER IN THE VIDEO

1. Open image in Snapseed
2. Select curves adjustment
3. Drag curves bar upwards to bring more brightness into the midtones and highlights of the image, and drag top corner towards the left to whiten highlights
4. Use the Selective function to adjust any areas of the image that are too dark or too bright to ensure there is a consistent look across the image
5. Select Tune Image and increase brightness and highlights if necessary, if shadows are too washed out drop them down to make them crisper again, increase contrast if needed
6. Select Done at the top left of Snapseed and your image will be saved into the Snapseed folder of your phone's image gallery

If you have any questions or requests please drop me a line I'd love to hear from you.

As always, I'd love for you to follow me on Facebook or Instagram and please leave me a comment or share this useful tutorial with your friends.
